Access and safety

Can RimeGuard change anything in my HubSpot account?

RimeGuard only reads. It has no code that edits your records or workflows, and every fix is a suggestion you apply or approve yourself. One permission, HubSpot's "automation" permission, technically allows editing workflows because HubSpot doesn't offer a read-only version. Our security page explains this in full.

What permissions does it need?

Read access to your workflows (including custom code), your contact, company and deal properties, your pipelines and owners, and record counts and dates. You see the full list on HubSpot's own page before you approve.

How do I disconnect?

Tell us, or remove RimeGuard yourself under Connected apps in your HubSpot settings. Disconnecting deletes your access tokens and saved data.

What if a suggested fix is wrong?

Then you don't approve it. Every fix is shown as a line-by-line change with an explanation, and nothing is applied without your say-so. Some fixes are drafted with an AI model, and they can be wrong, which is exactly why a person reviews each one.

Data and AI

Do you store my HubSpot data?

As little as possible. Workflow code is read during each scan and not stored afterward, apart from the lines quoted in your report. Reports are kept until you disconnect or for 30 days, and monitoring keeps the last 30 daily readings. The privacy policy has the full details.

Do you use AI? Is my data used to train it?

RimeGuard can use Anthropic's Claude models to draft suggested fixes. Only the affected code and error details are sent, with passwords and tokens removed first. Your data isn't used to train any AI models.

Fit

Which HubSpot plans does it work with?

If your account has workflows, the health check can scan them. Custom code steps only exist on HubSpot plans that include them, and that's where RimeGuard finds the most. If you're not sure what you have, that's a good reason to run the health check.

We don't have any developers. Is this for us?

Yes. That's who it's built for. Reports are in plain English, and fixes to workflow code come with the exact step to open and the corrected code to paste.

What can't RimeGuard catch?

Automations that live in Zapier, Make or similar tools, code inside apps from HubSpot's marketplace, and logic that was wrong from the start. RimeGuard also can't edit workflow code for you, because HubSpot doesn't allow it. Every report lists these limits.

How long does the health check take?

Connecting takes a couple of minutes, and the scan usually finishes in a few more. We then walk through the report with you on a short call.

HubSpot and the 2027 deadline

What happens in September 2027?

HubSpot's migration guide says its old numbered APIs (v1 through v4) will no longer be supported. They may keep working for a while, but they're no longer guaranteed fixes. Our September 2027 guide explains what to check.

Is RimeGuard part of HubSpot?

No. RimeGuard is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by HubSpot. It connects to your account the same way any HubSpot app does, with your permission.

Who's behind RimeGuard?

One founder, based in Virginia, USA. Every message goes straight to them. See About.
